Week Of Colour Blocking .....

This week I am doing a week of Colour Blocking ..... which is the trend of the Summer! I am going to bring some colour into my life!!! I am challenging myslef to just wear colour block .... or perhaps look like a traffic light all week in the office???

The trend  is easy to style, just grab the brightest pieces from your wardrobe and tango!

Today I am wearing a Pink Dress by Very Vero Moda with a Yellow Belt from Primark .....

It was the talk of the SS11 Catwalks with a host of designers showcasing Hot Colour Combos ......

Colour Blocking ....

Firstly I want to say thank you for your lovely comments and sorry for not getting back to you - unfortunately there is a fault with blogger, which they are trying to resolve, so it means I can't post comments :(

So I have decided to embrace this trend fully and just go for it!

I must admit that I did initially feel like a traffic light when I stepped on the tube but as I arrived in the office I the girls assured me that I was actually looking good! Phew!!!!!

I teamed up my H & M yellow top with some old jeans I had stored from Dorothy Perkins and some ankle boots from Primark....

They key to this trend is to block colours that complement each other. If you aren’t as daring then use accessories to achieve the look instead.

I am also wearing some new make-up from BM Beauty. One word -WOW! The Eye Shadow looks and feels amazing (I am wearing Dahlia)! Give your outfit animalistic flavour this summer. No matter what animal print you choose they can transform and lift your look for the season ahead. 

Today I am wearing an animal print playsuit from Primark with these AMAZING wedges - also from Primark. They remind me of the ones Rachel Bilson was wearing in my ditsy prints post ....

From Leopard print to Tiger stripes, Big Cat prints were all over the Burberry Prorsum, Roberta Cavalli and Dolce and Gabbana Catwalks ....

Today I am trying out the Jumpsuit .....  it’s one of the seasons key pieces. The 70’s trend is skipping straight off the runway and into my closet with this Floral number I found at Primark! The most style savvy celebs have already been wearing this look and the key is to keep it super sleek.

White Wash....

So today I am working the White Wash trend - I have mixed with a Kooky Bird Print - just to break it up. White is always a trend for summer, but 2011 is expecting a full wash out - bleached cotton was everywhere!

More Printed T-Shirts ....

You can never go wrong with a printed T-Shirt and Denim Shorts! They are a staple in my wardrobe!

I picked up this cute Black Cropped Printed T-Shirt from Zara at the weekend - I have teamed it with some ASOS Denim Shorts, Tights, Primark Boots and my new favourite Lip Gloss Collection 2000 Lock N Hold's Rock Steady which is a lush Peach shade and lasts for ages!! I have about 20 Lip Glosses and this is my best bargain at just £2.99!

Kate Bosworth is a fan of the Printed T-Shirt and Denim Shorts combo too and even wore it to Coachella a couple of weeks back ..

Bank Holiday Style.....

So I have been enjoying the bank holiday break with a mixture of lie-ins, sunshine and clothes of course!

Saturday - I opted for a floral maxi dress by French Connection which I teamed with an Urban Outfitters brown belt and Gold Flip Flops from Primark .....

Sunday - I went for a contrasting trend and dipped back into Safari Chic .... only this time experimenting with animal print.

I teamed this H & M Playsuit with a Peace Necklace from WhatsAboutTown and my old faithful Ray Bans and Havaianas ....

Safari Chic!

The sun is shining and I am working the Safari Chic look .....

For SS11 we see Safari Chic taking on a more eclectic feel, mixing up your usual neutral/khaki shades with a subtle seventies caramel twist and a dash of festival fever.  So this Summer I will be mixing it up with a selection of animal prints, sheer fabrics and fringing.

Today I am wearing a Seventies Safari Style Dress from Primark with my favourite Mischa Barton Fringed Bag, Ugg Ballet Pumps and Neon Green Nail Polish from Filthy Gorgeous which I am in love with  .......

Palazzo pants!

So I decided to invest in some Palazzo pants!

I have been seeing this trend coming through more and more in magazines and have spotted a few people wearing them in the street too. To be honest I was not sure whether this was something I would suit but when I popped by Primark and spotted these beauties for £12 I thought  "hey why not try them on". So I did and guess what I LOVED them!

It’s officially the trouser of the season, and in the case of the Palazzo the wider the better! Palazzo pants were splashed all over the SS11 runways.  Best teamed with wedges to extend the 70's vibe and make sure you keep your top half  tight around the waistline.

So today I decided to test the look out and have teamed them with some Faith Black Wedges and a Very Black T-Shirt ......

These were spotted all over the catwalks too ...... and my favourites are these floral numbers from D and G .....
