How would a host of new calumny - including Clare Waight Author at Chloe and Actor Rousteing at Balmain - antimonopoly for their honours outings as inventive directors of new houses?
On the catwalk, it was designers' penchant for all things aquatic that became the prevalent trend. Karl Lagerfeld went for a deep sea dive at Chanel, Givenchy made a splash with mermaid creations, Giorgio Armani went iridescent, pearlescent and shimmery and Mary Katrantzou brought psychedelic sea beds into the mix.
