For Hallowe'en I had the idea for months of getting out my Wicca Handbook and practising some good old magic, I even bought candles for it. But in the end nobody else I knew seemed very keen on the idea and wanted to dress up in the stereotypical Hallowe'en way. My outfit was planned very last minute (and when I say last minute I mean in one hour's time), and I ended up going as the joker/a vampire/a zombie/some person from the Addam's family. Our night ended up like this: singing awful karaeoke as we were far too pissed to show off our fantasmagorical voices, spilling garlic mayonaise all down my tights, in a flat with a wizard and two hippies, in the bathtub until 4am, listening to the Incredible String Band, Emma throwing up her insides after drinking the entire alcohol quantity of the town, taking videos of giant spiders on the ceiling and watching absolutely mental videos on youtube of 'the microscopic miracle of birth'. Why?! It wasn't exactly the Hallowe'en I had in mind but it still left me feeling extremely hazy. So Samhain & all soul's day has been and gone, no more 'spirits walking the earth' and not really any other chance for another year to have an excuse to freak out. This is sad. Here's some pictures...
