I'm happy right now because I've found out my favourite builder in the world is returning to finish work on the pub. And there was me thinking he was gone forever and I would never get to say goodbye to him... Plus I've decided work isn't all that bad, and I've just got myself some more overtime so I'll be £60 better off. Also I have lots & lots of stuff to sell on ebay, oh Karma works in funny ways.

Almost Famous

Friday night, for one night only, I relived the Almost Famous dream. Drank three bottles of wine, glass of baileys, glass of double vodka lemonade & lime and a glass of vodka and orange, went to see the biggest Led Zeppelin tribute band in the UK who were absolutely awesome... with my flower friend Andrea & the hippest of the hippys Rob, free entry, met the band, got photos, you name it, we did it. Apart from the one obvious thing... see that's the small difference between 1969 and 2009, re-living up to the name 'groupie' is very difficult because among much other things these days it has lost its appeal and the rules are unfortunatley slightly different. Billy - lead singer - was really lovely and has the strongest resemblance to Robert Plant ever, both offstage with his looks and onstage with the way he moves, the way he smiles, the whole hip shaking sexy thing, he's got it all. Going into the night in detail on here is probably not advisable, but just the fact that for one night of my whole life I felt like Penny Lane, that's enough to say, that's all I've gotta tell you. And for those of you who have seen Almost Famous... you get the jist.

Event | Partners in Design: Native Chic Trunk Shows

Perhaps one of the best things about being in Santa Fe, New Mexico, has to do with the fact that it is a mecca for cutting-edge Native American fashion.

The Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, at 704 Camino Lejo in Santa Fe, is currently hosting trunk shows to feature Native designers and jewelers. The first two events, which were held in September and October, spotlighted Penny Singer, Jennifer Curtis, Pilar Agoyo, and Cody Sanderson.

Trunk shows are important ways for fashion designers and jewelers to get the word out about their art, to connect with collectors, and to commission new work. Trunk shows involve less time, energy, and funding than the standard runway fashion show (in which dozens of volunteers, hours of preparation, and lots of $$ are required), and provide significant sources of income for designers. Because of their intimate nature, they are also great opportunities to meet and talk with the artists.

The final three events, to be held in December, January, and February, promise to be exciting shows, and IF you find yourself in New Mexico, you should definitely check them out:

Event | Indigenous Bling

One of the few objects that retains (if not expands) its value over time- you can never go wrong with some Indigenous bling!

This event, held at the Museum of Contemporary Native Arts in Santa Fe features jewelry by Shawn Bluejacket, Keri Ataumbi, Cippy CrazyHorse, Angie Reano-Owen, Jennifer Smith, Chris Pruitt, Duane Maktima, Marguerite Houle, and Paul Moore. The jewelry extravaganza will spotlight his-and-her combinations of bracelets and buckles.

Many Native fashion designers have been influenced by jewelers (Charles Loloma's color combinations provide great inspiration!), and jewelers have undoubtedly been influenced by the Native and non-Native fashion worlds. Check out this event to see the latest in Native bling.

One thing I love about Native American/First Nations fashion is the fact that several designers donate their time and energy to good causes. It’s a long tradition of caring for the community, and here’s the latest event, Evolution a Celebration of Indigenous Art and Design, in support of the Hamilton Native Women’s Centre. Theme for my 19th... hopefully a good idea

For my 19th, at the beginning of January, I am organising a massive fuck up in Brighton, the theme is 70'S ROCK N ROLL aka Hair Metal. Think Metallica, Guns N Roses, Led Zeppelin, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, T Rex... the list goes on. Leather, spandex, headbands, backcombed hair, leopard print, platforms, the lot. I am inviting practically everyone I know. There's no plan for where we end up, which is basically the point of the whole thing, and it is going to be absolutely epic. For my birthdays in the past I have literally done nothing... no exxageration, so I am going to make this a big one. If you're a close friend, or someone I talk to often enough, you are invited, and BRING WHOEVER YOU LIKE! No plan as to what bar/club we will go to yet as it's still early days but I'll keep whoever wants to come posted via Facebook.

Our lives make us laugh

This is what I look like every single day now and pretty much all I ever wear. I need some new clothes. Last night was pretty un-eventful as predicted. Going up the local and seeing the old man who tried to grab me whilst I was dancing on the bar the other week made me feel sick. And then seeing the chav who asked for my number and when I told him I had a boyfriend (which I really don't) he completely flipped and threatened to beat the pretend boyfriend up. I spent £20, gave £10 to Emma that I owed her and the rest I spent on shitty alcohol. I could've bought some cheesy chips with garlic mayonaise - WHAT MY LIFE REVOLVES AROUND! But instead we ended up sitting on a park bench in the middle of nowhere getting stoned yet again until 1am. I could've spent that money on much more exciting things. The next week is going to be absolutely shit. Tomorrow - work, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - work. I guess it's money but I would really rather not do it. Thinking of quitting in the new year to become a bum again... seems a good idea.

Next Friday, I am going to see the BIGGEST Lez Zeppelin tribute band in the UK - Let'z Zep. Robert Plant himself thinks they are amazing and quoted ''I walked in, I saw me'' - referring to Billy Kulke on vocals & Harmonica who just so happens to be a Robert Plant lookalike. Led Zeppelin are my favourite band of all time. There is no question about it. I am SO excited about it you have no idea and I have been planning my outfit for weeks, but I still have no idea what I am gonna wear. I need to look good but not too over the top. Pamela Anderson confesses

LONDON - Former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson has confessed that she took cocaine when she was young.

The 42-year-old experimented with the Class A drug when she was younger but insists she didn’t enjoy the effects the illegal substance had on her, reports fashion.ie.

“Well I’ve tried it and I don’t like it. I’m completely hyper and it actually doesn’t work for me. I’ve dabbled in things,” she said.

The mother of two admits she still drinks on occasions.

“I haven’t had a drink in a month, I don’t drink. I’ll drink champagne sometimes and I’ll get a little crazy, doing back flips and you know wrestling people on the floor, but I’m taking a break right now, my friend calls it ‘detox so you can retox’,” she said.
